There are many great winter events in Camden Maine. Residents and visitors alike enjoy a variety of activities. There are great outdoor activities, like cross country and downhill skiing at the Camden Snowbowl (newly designed website and slogan Ski the Sea – because of the great views from the top of the mountain). Also, hunting and fishing. There are many great cooking classes. There are also signature events like Christmas By The Sea.

Winter Events in Camden Maine: We have guests that come to Camden Maine each year for Christmas By the Sea for different reasons. I know there is a hotel in the downtown that is completely reserved by 2 grandparents to host all their children and grandchildren for a family reunion. They all enjoy the Christmas By the Sea festivities together. The timing of Christmas By the Sea is good, in that it is early in December. Windward House has a lovely couple that comes every year just for a nice getaway. The couple lives in Maine, a few towns over from Camden, and come because the town is alive in the winter. The stores are open late. For a young couple that just wants to have a fun town, lovely restaurants and the romantic winter feeling, this is a great weekend. Stay in one of Windward House’s rooms with a fireplace and walk to and from dinner, a great weekend.

If you live in Maine, New Hampshire or Massachusetts, you need to go to Primo in the Winter!
If you live in Maine, Mass, or New Hampshire, then you are close enough to plan a romantic night at Historic Inn and have dinner at the Victorian house restaurant Primo Restaurant. Windward House sees a healthy amount of guests that are coming to the MidCoast of Maine just to go to dinner at Primo Restaurant. Primo Restaurant has developed into a world class restaurant after 15 years. Numerous awards and farm table describe this restaurant. Come to the MidCoast, check in to your Inn, hike Mt. Battie and then enjoy a fantastic dinner. The last day for Primo is January 8, 2017 Will reopen in Spring of 2017.
